Due to the current global situation, and taking into consideration the current Government & ECB guidelines it has been decided that all cricket matches played at Wormsley this year will be behind closed doors, with games not open to the public to attend.
We’re delighted to give an update on the new Square here at Wormsley and some of our wider plans as far as cricket is concerned.
The original square was laid 28 years ago, and the first game on the new ground was fittingly between two local villages that border the Estate – Ibstone v Fingest on Sunday 10th May 1992. The Sir Paul Getty ground was officially opened on Sunday 24th May 1992 by Bob Wyatt
We are delighted to announce our fixture list for the 2019 season. Key highlights include our President’s Day on Sunday 9th June, when the Sir Paul Getty XI will welcome the MCC back to Wormsley – recreating the first fixture when the ground was opened in May 1992. Other highlights see the Sir Paul Getty Women’s XI taking on the FairBreak International XI, in a repeat of last year’s historic match. As you will see below
