Come and dine with us this August in Wormsley’s breathtaking Ancient Orchard. This unique experience is situated in part of the private Wormsley Walled Garden, a quintessentially British setting, with dining taking place beneath hand-crafted replica hot air balloons.

General release tickets are sold in tables of six (each vintage wicker balloon basket seats six guests comfortably around a table) and are available for lunch (weekends from 12pm) or dinner sittings (Thursday to Sunday from 7pm) between 4th – 28th August 2022 inclusive.

The Experience

Guests will be greeted with a welcome drink and canapés within the Walled Garden, with the freedom to wander and wonder at the stunning floral displays alongside beautifully manicured topiary. Play a game on the Croquet Lawn or enjoy live music and wonderful surprises.

Once invited through a ‘secret garden’ style gate to the Ancient Orchard, diners discover their own hot air balloon set whimsically amongst the apple trees where the gourmet FEAST tasting menu is served. This is set under a transparent marquee roof, ensuring the best of al fresco dining whilst protected from the elements.

Works of Art

These ten specially commissioned, handmade red-and-white-striped hot air balloons will be floating gently in the breeze, tethered above their wicker baskets, creating a creative dining pop-up second to none.

The Ancient Orchard boasts wildflowers and grasses around the manicured area central area, creating a haven for butterflies and wildlife. Views stretch beyond the orchard to the woodlands and meadows of Wormsley beyond.

9-Course Gourmet Tasting Menu

A canapé course will be served to guests as they discover the four outdoor ‘garden rooms’ and the surprises of the Walled Garden. The eight remaining courses will be served at the table in their wicker hot air balloon dining basket. Where possible, produce grown by the Wormsley gardening team will be used.

As with all FEAST events, you can expect creative twists to the presentation of each course, including edible clouds. Guests will enjoy Lobster en Croute, Tournedos Rossini and a host of other delectable courses. Every year, Wormsley produces apple juice from the apple harvest, which will feature in a special part of the FEAST menu.

Any special dietary requirements can be catered for upon request. A child menu is available to book for lunch sittings only.

Helpful Information

A full bar will be available to purchase a selection of drinks, including Champagne, wine, and cocktails.

The dress code is smart-casual. Each wicker basket is heated and covered; guests are advised to dress accordingly for an outdoor event.

Please note that the balloons are decorative and won’t be leaving the ground.

There is ample parking on-site and disabled access. Please contact FEAST regarding any special dietary requirements or additional requests (such as precise detail regarding disabled parking, or perhaps to arrange a cake for a special celebration).
