CRICKET
When Sir Paul Getty was introduced by Mick Jagger to the game of cricket when they were neighbours in Cheyne Walk in Chelsea, he soon fell in love with the quintessentially English game.
Wormsley is said by many to be one of the most beautiful cricket grounds in the whole of the United Kingdom.
Country Pursuits
The Beech woodlands, fields, roadways and parkland of the Estate offer a truly inspirational setting for a range of country activities.
CORPORATE EVENTS & CONFERENCES
Over the last few years we have welcomed a number of corporate organisations to Wormsley, to host private meetings and events in one or more of our locations across the Estate.
FESTIVALS
The wider estate grounds offer a beautiful setting and some of the necessary infrastructure for Festivals of up to 5,000 people. The Cricket Ground and Deer Park, set in a natural amphitheatre at the bottom of the valley, provide a terrific locations for larger events.
LOCATION FILMING
A private, rural and beautiful valley, with an enviable location just 40 miles from Central London and 1 minute from the M40 (Jct 5), Wormsley is a proven filming location. The Estate consists of approximately 1,500 acres of beech woodland and 1,000 acres of deer park, grazing and open land, with a wonderful array of buildings and barns, as well as more formal gardens.
OPERA
Garsington Opera was founded in 1989 by the late Leonard Ingrams and his wife Rosalind, at Garsington Manor near Oxford. In 2011, the company moved into its new home in the Opera Pavilion in the Deer Park at Wormsley.
WEDDINGS & CELEBRATIONS
Anyone who has visited Wormsley will often talk of the sheer beauty of the Estate. From the moment you drive through the gates and wind your way down into the valley, surrounded by fields and woodland, and with the resident Red Kites circling overhead, you know you’re in a special place.
