Home Farm Barn

With its rustic charm, Home Farm Barn combines the old-world character of a traditional barn with the cosiness of a welcoming home. Inside, exposed wooden beams stretch across the vaulted ceiling, whilst soft lighting creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. Large windows welcome in natural light, looking out over the lake to Island Pavilion, Deer Park, Opera Pavilion and the undulating tree-scaped countryside beyond.

Views and a peaceful atmosphere can be enjoyed from Home Farm Lawn, accessible via the portico doors.

Home Farm Barn

Home Farm Barn is an ideal location for private dinners, corporate lunches, or team meetings. Two entrances from the courtyard and lawn make access easy, enabling flexibility for indoor and outdoor use, combined or individually.

It has a raised stage at one end and a lofted gallery area at the other. It is part of Home Farm, which comprises buildings, spaces, and gardens in the middle of the Estate, overlooking Deer Park and Lake.

Opera Garden

Aside Home Farm sits the Opera Garden, a celebration of horticulture and music culture joined matrimonially with its naturalistic planting gently nestled next to the theatre space, which was originally the Home Farm garden.

For the relocation of Garsington Opera in 2010, Mark Getty briefed Hannah Gardener to create a welcoming home-from-home space for the opera guests and performers, wishing to bring the essence of the Garsington Estate to Wormsley. More free-flowing in its layout by comparison to the formal design of the Garsington Manor gardens, the mixies of roses, Mediterranean lavender, irises, and grasses provide a melodic view of high and low notes exuding an air of sophistication, combining artistry with nature’s splendour.
